Strawberry Avocado Caprese Salad

Fresh, simple, and ready in 15 minutes, this strawberry avocado salad is a summery twist on caprese, with mozzarella, basil, avocado, and fresh berries.



For the Strawberry Avocado Salad:

  • 10 ounces strawberries, stems removed and quartered
  • 6 ounces blueberries
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 avocado, pit and skin removed and sliced
  • 5 ounces fresh mozzarella, cut into half-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • Sea salt and ground black pepper

For the White Wine Vinaigrette:

  • 3 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • Sea salt and ground black pepper


To Make the White Wine Vinaigrette:

  1. Add the olive oil, vinegar, and honey to a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Whisk until well combined.

To Make the Strawberry Avocado Salad:

  1. Squeeze the juice from the lemon and pour it all over the avocado to keep it from turning brown. Season the avocado with salt and pepper.
  2. Season the mozzarella with salt and pepper.
  3. Arrange the sliced strawberries, blueberries, sliced avocado, and cubed mozzarella on a platter.
  4. Drizzle the White Wine Vinaigrette over the salad. Top with fresh basil leaves. Serve.
