One day, I was driving home from work, just a block and a half away from my house. There was a little boy who lived near me, always playing on his scooter.
As I reached that final stretch, I suddenly saw him come flying out of nowhere on his scooter. Right in front of my car.
Before I could even process what was happening, he disappeared under the front of my vehicle.
I slammed on my brakes. My heart stopped.
I threw the car into park, jumped out, and ran around to the front—bracing myself for the worst. But to my shock and amazement… there was nothing. No little boy. No scooter. Just empty pavement.
I stood there, stunned, asking myself, “Am I losing my mind?!“
Shaken, I got back in my car. I drove very slowly the rest of the way, crawling down the street toward my house.
And then, just as I reached the spot where that little boy lived—he came flying out in front of my car. For real this time.
Because I had been driving so slowly and cautiously, I was able to stop in time. He was completely unharmed, safe and sound. But I sat there, in utter shock, my mouth hanging open the whole way home.
And besides me getting out and scolding him to be more careful, that’s the end of my story. Pretty fantastic, if you ask me.
I’d love to know where that vision came from? God? Jesus? The boy’s guardian angel? Mine?
