In my darkest hour, I saw an angel, sent to remind me I was never alone. Here’s what the angel looked like..
There was a time in my life when fear had such a hold on me, I wasn’t sure I would make it out.
But what happened one evening in my living room changed everything.
I was born into a Christian family.
My mother’s love for Jesus was something I deeply admired.
Her faith was powerful, and it shaped me.
Over time, I came to understand that the gift of discernment runs in our family.
My mother had it.
I have it.
My daughter and granddaughter have it too.
But not even discernment could protect me from the spiritual attack I went through.
It was one of the hardest seasons of my life.
The darkness felt so heavy, and I had a deep, constant fear of what I couldn’t see but could sense was around me.
Looking back now, I realize my trial had a purpose.
I needed to walk through it to shed the parts of me that still lacked faith.
I needed to learn something essential: that the power of God is greater than any darkness, and He gives us the authority to overcome all the power of the enemy.
And then came the moment I’ll never forget.
I was in my living room one evening when I saw an angel walk through my door.
He was about twelve feet tall and wore a uniform like the Roman soldiers from Jesus’s time.
His armor was a soft, golden-plated color, almost glowing.
He carried both a shield and a sword.
He didn’t speak—but I could feel why he was there.
He had been sent to protect me.
To encourage me.
He was there to remind me that I wasn’t alone and never had been.
I watched him walk through my home with purpose, and I could sense him guarding not just the space, but me.
My fear melted in the presence of that angel.
There was no room for darkness anymore.
