I was a teenager when it happened.
I was walking my siblings home from school, like I’d done countless times before.
I’m the oldest of six, and my youngest brother, Brian, was just 7 or 8 at the time.
Nothing felt unusual. Until the moment Brian darted ahead of me.
Normally, Brian would wait for me at the corner.
But that day, without warning, he darted toward the intersection.
And then it happened.
Out of nowhere, something inside me, something beyond instinct, took over.
I let out a blood-curdling scream: “STOP, BRIAN!!”
It was startling enough to make him stop instantly.
Not even two seconds later, I watched as a car came flying into the intersection.
It spun in a full 360, jumped the curb, and crashed straight into the house on the corner.
Right where my little brother would have been if he’d continued forward.
I was shaking.
Brian was frozen.
But he was safe and completely unharmed.
A lot of people doubt whether guardian angels really exist. But I’m telling you: someone warned me. Someone protected him.
Whether it was my guardian angel… or his.
That voice saved my brother’s life.
To this day, I know that my brother was meant to live. And something far beyond me made sure he did.
