I doubted the afterlife until I saw it for myself. During surgery, I felt unearthly blissful peace. This is my true story of seeing heaven.

Since I was little, I’ve always had problems with my ears.
Infection after infection.
But what I didn’t know was that these infections would someday lead me to the edge of life and death… and into the arms of heaven.
When I was about three years old, my cousin and I were playing at my grandmother’s house.
I was stepping off the back porch when my cousin accidentally slammed the door right in my face.
I lost my two front teeth.
The trauma triggered a massive infection that nearly killed me.
At one point, doctors feared I was going deaf — and I almost did.
They replaced my teeth, and some of my hearing returned, but not fully.
From then on, I was on round after round of antibiotics, and it all cost a fortune.
As I grew up, I’d tell my dad I heard pounding sounds in my ear.
He’d brush it off, saying it was “mind over matter.”
So I lived like that — growing up, growing older, and still quietly struggling.
Years later, I experienced a heartbreaking pregnancy loss.
With my young daughter at home, everything came crashing down again.
My ear started bleeding.
I ended up in the hospital for three weeks.
I was so sick.
The infection was called chronic mastoiditis.
It was serious, rare, and if untreated, life-threatening.
I was told I needed to go to UHealth in Miami for surgery.
Because of the severity of the infection, I needed not only a top ear surgeon, but also a brain surgeon and a disease specialist present in the operating room.
The surgery was supposed to take two hours. It took nine.
When I finally woke up, I was confused.
A nurse gently stopped me from sitting up too fast.
She asked me questions to make sure I was alert: “Who are you? … How old are you? … Who’s the president?”
I answered, slowly coming back into my body … but something had changed.
Just minutes after waking, I turned to a nurse and said, “Heaven is for real.”
Because I saw it.
I met animals that didn’t speak, but they could communicate with me through thought.
I saw the most radiant green grass and flowers. They seemed so vivid and alive.
With the most striking rainbow across a bright blue sky.
It was breathtaking.
The whole place radiated peace.
A voice spoke to me and said, “It’s not your time yet. You need to go back. Your family needs you.”
So I returned.
And I’ve been free of ear infections since then.
It feels like a miracle.
I’ve kept this to myself for a long time because I was afraid of what people might think. But I know it’s time.
Because now I know heaven is real.
God is real.
So is evil. I’ve felt that too. But love outweighs fear.
Thank you for reading my story.
If you’ve ever doubted God, I hope this gives you comfort.
Because I’m living proof: heaven is more glorious than we could ever imagine.

Key Findings From Research on Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) and Seeing Heaven
✨ Shared Features Across Many NDEs.
Researchers have noticed recurring elements when people describe seeing “heaven” or near-death realms (Source). These include:
- Feeling of immense peace and love.
- A bright, warm welcoming light that draws the person toward it.
- Encounters with deceased loved ones or beings of light.
- A sense of being outside one’s body, or looking down on it.
- Life review: seeing one’s life or key moments flash back.
✨ Cross-Cultural Similarities.
These features show up in many cultures, not just in Christian accounts. While the interpretation often reflects one’s background and beliefs, the core experiences (light, love, peace, meeting loved ones) are remarkably consistent. (Source)
✨ Aftereffects Are Real and Deep.
After such experiences, people often report permanent spiritual shifts (Source):
- Increased sense of spirituality or purpose.
- Less fear of death.
- Greater love, compassion, often changed values.
✨ Experiencing “Another Realm” Beyond Body and Time.
Many describe the space they entered as being beyond normal physical laws. Time, space, and physical pain often don’t apply in those realms.
