I was driving down the highway in the middle of the night.
There was no traffic, no headlights in sight, just the steady hum of my tires against the pavement.
The world felt eerily still.
I was about to switch lanes when, out of nowhere, I heard it.
A voice.
Clear.
Firm.

My blinker was on, my hand ready to turn the wheel.
I looked around — no cars, no movement — nothing but darkness stretching ahead.
“Why? I’m all alone!” I asked out loud, half laughing at myself.

The same motorcycle, twisted and unrecognizable, scattered across the asphalt.
It had crashed into an SUV.
I’ve heard that same voice many times throughout my life.
It has always guided me to safety, or to peace, or to something I couldn’t have known on my own.
I think there are so many people who are confused about God and angels.
Many are afraid to reach out because they worry they’ll be disappointed.
I understand that.
But I can tell you this with every ounce of my heart: that voice has brought great blessings into my life.
